Keep your wits sharp but your look sharper.
My favorite thing in fashion is juxtaposition; whether it’s a contrast of color and texture or aesthetic no matter what it is I pretty much will die for all of it. This look is a great example of that and how contrast’s in both aesthetic and texture can be created when you not only choose a texture or color that is hard against something light and simple; but when that color or texture is conventionally a sort of rock n’ roll hard color and texture against that conventionally minimal piece. This post all together is such a great example of style and different way’s a piece of clothing can be worn or interpreted.
Fashion is so many things for so many people..and style is the very same thing. My style, and my view of fashion is Fearless. My look knows no bounds and fears no limitation; I do and wear whatever I want for the simple reason that that is what I want. So in this Our Look Our Day I am showcasing two new additions to my closet; the first is my new bag. In all honesty it was purchased from our local GW and came from my need to have a bag that didn’t cost anyone an arm and a leg something I could sit on the ground if I wanted. I did however have an alternative motive in picking this specific bag in that the shape of it vaguely resembles that of my DREAM bag, the Hermes birkin bag. The second addition would be the wedge; I have slowly begun to incorporate solid wedges into my looks. Primarily they are an all black infinity wedge but this leather and hemp wedge was too cool to pass up and so I bought it. The shoe only adds to the look and it’s contrasting theme.
I promise, I own other shoes.. the JC suede Lita’s are just my favorites. Along with my cashmere, wool and fox fur Adolfo shawl which is sure to be both a fall and winter staple for me in these upcoming months as it’s officially the chicest and warmest thing I own. I’ve had my eye on the Pleated Trousers from AA and I was thrilled to find them waiting for me at home on the eve of my Nineteenth Birthday and I would like to thank my fabulous partner in crime for her unconditional support, love and hilarity.

Campbell calls them Jaguar but they look a lot more Dalmatian than Jaguar if you ask me. Jaguars, Coyotes and Rabbits oh my.
Uptown influences with a Downtown edge, plays out our looks for this week’s shoot. Classic lines with a modern twist, the Jeffrey Campbell Fur Lita’s rather than the standard oxford, Krew denim where a trouser might lay pleated, Fur replaces Argyle and Brooks Brothers takes a backseat to BB Dakota.
