A night on the town; might as swell slaughter two birds with one stone and rock the same dress. Jour Et nuit by Jackie Bernard, however you wear it collectively it’s the perfect thrifted find and evidently Jackson and I have no problem wearing it in whichever way we please.

One, two, three, four layers of essentials (not including the essential sunnies and clutch) that I chose to showcase for our first Our Look Our Day in our new home of Seattle, WA. The piece that I’ve noticed to be wearing a lot lately, my American Apparel backless mini layered under a sheer taupe open button down with the classic “Chloe” shawl thrown over for comfort in case the weather gets a little too very.

Alix and I found this Jour Et Nuiton shirt/dress one of many glorious GoodWill adventures and aside from its strong shoulder appeal the color is absolute. I love how muted it is and in ways organic I felt it was the perfect thing to wear to an Anthropologie interview I had today. Along with my Vintage trouser this Vintage shawl has been with me for ages and was gifted to me by a dear dear friend of mine. It’s beauty is beyond measure in my opinion and is a go to for any look I put together that is the least bit minimal, airy, and romantic and this look encompasses all of those things like the great city of Seattle which has captured my heart.

Layers, Seattle’s all for encouraging them. After the big move we were sure to pack our scarves, shawls and tights for the initial and ever different change from what was once hot and humid to cold and overcast. Regardless of the weather, I had to bring my sunnies.

I’ve never cared for Florida, I hate the sunlight and the spring season although adorable for many I have never fully been able to embrace. I like a layered look…a look that has dimensions; it is this that truly makes Seattle a dream come true for not only my closet but for me as well because here I am can pretty much pull off a layered look all year round. I broke out an old favorite the vintage trouser which is one of the oldest and most dear pieces in my closet paired with my Aldo combat boot for which I am never far from as of late.

So comes the passing of another summer afternoon in my new home. One thing that living on my own has taught me is that I shouldn’t let the fear of failure rule my psyche. There’s always competition, there’s always going to be someone else doing the exact same thing you’re doing and there’s only so much you can do to prevent that. So much you can do.. I’m forward, I’m dedicated and I’m stopping the nonsense. I’m tired of the anxiety and I’m sure as hell not letting that fear deter how passionate I am about what I do and what I’m going to do for the rest of my life. Welcome to my reality, I plan on conquering it.
