Ironically enough I look to layers along with tights and knee high socks for this season…….sounds a little ironic but I’m willing to grin a bear the heat for my new favorite thing to do in my closet. This is just a taste of the kind of layering I plan to showcase from here on out on both “Our Look Our Day” but J and A as well. I have on the Lace Leotard from F21 over it I’m wearing an oversized top from Express, the kind of layering I plan to accomplish is using these oversized tops and frocks with tailored button downs beneath them I love any kind of juxtaposition in fashion, in art, in all things; I love the tailored look paired with these very loose fittings almost off the shoulder numbers. Today is all about multitasking as Alix and I have a shoot and many many J and A ventures to accomplish today here at our local Starbucks.

After doing a deep analysation of my closet I came to a sudden realization- I am at a complete lack of dresses. After the initial shock, I decided that’s where a lot of my clothing investments will go to this summer. Luckily, my store isn’t so cheap all the time. I actually manage to find some quality items every now and then, I.E this dress. Top Shop/American Apparel inspired. I fell in love, and for only 8 dollars? Of course.

When we decided to work with Nino we weren’t exactly sure of the direction these photos would take, in order to cover all of our bases and leave room for the pictures to take on any tone they pleased we decided to create a contrast within ourselves. The contrast of our looks allowed us to play off of one another or stand alone with our own unique look.
